COURSE OVERVIEW
Incoterms, the world’s essential terms of trade for the sale of goods, have not been updated since 2010. LexisNexis Middle East, in partnership with Hamdan AlShamsi Lawyers & Legal Consultants and the DIFC Academy, will host a training session on Incoterms. During this training session, our expert on international commercial terms will assess the degree to which these rules have changed, and the impact that these changes will have on both commercial and banking lawyers. Topics to be discussed include:
- An overview of Incoterms
- Changes to the provisions regulating Incoterms
- Potential changes which may occur as a result of these provisions
The training session will be divided in two parts:
Part 1:
- FCA, FOB and Bills of lading
- Insurance in CIP/CIF
- Renaming of DAT to DPU
- Customs Clearance
Part 2:
- Security in relation to transport
- Clarity on breakdown of cost allocation
- Relationship between Incoterms and International commercial contracts
