Nils is a Belgian tax lawyer registered with the Brussels Bar. After starting his career in one of the Big Four accounting firms, Nils joined a leading tax law firm in Belgium. In 2017, Nils joined Aurifer Middle East in Dubai.

Since coming to the Gulf region, Nils has gained wide-ranging experience with taxation in the GCC, advising both multinational and local companies as well as government entities. In addition to his extensive background in indirect tax (VAT, customs and excise tax), Nils has obtained an advanced accreditation in international tax (APCIT).

Nils combines strong technical capabilities with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach. He regularly gives presentations on various tax topics and is a frequent author of articles on taxation in the EU and GCC. During his career, Nils has worked for clients in a variety of sectors, which contributed to his excellent business acumen.
